The Blue Ridge Story
Alex Anderson originally founded Anderson Engineering in 1989. He provided engineering services for the semiconductor equipment and electronic industries in Silicon Valley. Blue Ridge Systems was formed to provide manufacturing capabilities as well as engineering development. This capability allows Blue Ridge Systems to provide complete turnkey system development. The advantage this gives the customer is that one vendor can take your ideas from concept to completion
In the early 2000s, BRS relocated to Elk Grove California. A few acres of rural farm land provided the room to allow BRS to grow physically, with the addition of a much larger on-site machine shop. Our head quarters is still close to Silicon Valley, but far enough away to offset overhead costs. This gives BRS another competitive advantage.
Our staff excels in projects that involve:
- Complex, low to medium volume products and equipment that are characterized by technology integration, technically involved designs and tight performance requirements.
- Minimal client technical support.
- Strict timelines.
